I’ve lived here for almost 10 years and had no clue that there are crawdad’s in the pond. Crawdadas according to Kaden. But there are, and not surprisingly they are the new obsession of everyone under the age of 32 in our house.
(That includes me.)
Fishing for them and catching them is quite addictive. No worries – we catch and release. Crawdads that have lived in a clay infused pond their entire life are not likely going to be tasty little critters.
Here’s how a crawdada fishing excursion looks around these parts …

This fella liked to show off …

Kaden has been reading too much about “Senior Posing…”

There is a lot of waiting and watching in craw-dada fishing. It is shocking how patiently these boys can wait for one to bite!

Gorgeous series Lacey!
I love these! I love Cooper’s face! So timeless!
Haha! Thanks, Jennifer! He cracked me up, too.
Fun times!! My kids loved fishing for crawdads in the river across from our place. Your pond grown crawdads are much bigger! Your little ‘poser’ is too cute!!
Have a great weekend Lacey!
Fun! Crazy that a craw-dada likes chicken bones

Did you show your “senior-poser” his “couch-napper” photos? He’s photogenic no matter where he’s “posing”!
XOXOXO to GCK from Grammie
I’ve always enjoyed your personal blog posts without comment, but I just had to tell you that Kaden’s ‘senior posing’ really gave me a chuckle today. I love your photography!
