Ever since we took the front railing off of Kaden’s crib, making it into a toddler bed, getting him to sleep in it has been a little bit of a challenge. But there are definitely 3 positives about his new bed …
1) He won’t fall 4 feet to the floor when he tries to climb out.
2) I can give him kissies easier while he sleeps.
3) It is so much easier to photograph him now, when he actually takes a nap…

By easier I mean, that there are not crib slats in my way, AND I can pose him if I want.

Yep, pose him. As far as I know, he doesn’t normally sleep with his hannies sweetly tucked under his cheek. But for the sake of being able to see that adorable face, I had to work with his hands. I bet you didn’t know you could pose a 2.5 year old much like you can a newborn! ![]()

So, I’d say Kaden getting up multiple times at bedtime, getting himself up at 5am and often refusing to take a nap, is an alright trade-off for the positives that come with him being in a toddler-bed. Almost.

I adore these!!! He looks so peaceful. I am sure actually getting him to take a nap is most of the battle. I so relate-we have only had a handful of naps since Vegas and they have been on me. Love this set Lacey!
Gorgeous, Lacey. Beautiful light and he is just so squeezable <2
Ack! The sleeping baby (toddler…*sigh*) images kill me!!! So sweet!
