Making the Most of our Time

With Matt’s new work schedule (60 hour weeks with an hour+ drive) the boys don’t have much time to kick around with him.  And with our *nice* weather days seeming to be few and far  between, too, we have to take full advantage when we can.  So on evenings when Dad is home and the rain’s not falling, we quickly eat dinner and then leave the dishes and clean-up.  We head out for a walk.

No doubt, lots of my posts will be from our evening walks.   It is the happiest time of the day for all of us …

Gosh, okay … they don’t look too thrilled, but really, they are

{That’s what it looks like when your mouth gets smacked with the edge of a wooden swing … poor Tado … }

{No worries … nothing is really harmed by the boys shooting into the pond.  If there was, there’d be newts floating on the top}

This is us, making the most of our time with Dad and with nice weather.   I’ll try not to complain, but I will say that it’d sure be nice to have a lot more of both …

So beautiful Lacey! You’re giving your boys such a wonderful childhood, and they’ll have beautiful photos to look back on to help them remember it all someday.

What a great idea! My husband and I used to take walks after dinner before the kids, but stopped due to the chaos babies bring. Now that the kids are a bit older, we should start doing walks again. Perfect for summer when they can stay up a little later!

I love your walks! Ouchy for little Tado :( G&C super-hero capes crack me up :) I love the shot of Tado closing his eyes and contemplating on Matt’s shoulders. That’s so Tades!! But no Bosley??
