It was a rare morning when Kaden slept in, allowing me to start my day before him. He was only sleeping in because we’d already been up together in the middle of the night when he decided he needed to sleep in my bed rather than his.
Being up at 2am worked out just fine though, because I love getting up before him! And on this particular morning, it gave me a chance to sneak upstairs where I found Gage and Cooper already deep in Play-Mobile land …
Where hunters capture dinosaurs, elk, and warthogs without discrimination …
Undisturbed, they enjoy their big-boy playtime, making up stories and dialog, arranging and rearranging to their hearts’ content.
Undisturbed … until Kaden woke and joined us.
Cooper was a little devastated, as Kaden’s favorite place to sit is always RIGHT ON Cooper’s toys.
I tried to distract Kaden, giving Cooper a chance to rebuild this camp and trying to avoid a fight and a melt-down …
How quickly the “rare” part of our morning passed and we moved right into a “typical” morning.

So sweet of Doot, knowing how he likes organization, to welcome little Tado into his PlayMobile area. Though probabaly trying to prevent Kaden from totally destroying his organized play.
Poor Coop…out in the open, so vulnerable to a two-year-old’s curiosity. I hope Cooper was able to “re-coop” before having a total meltdown!
