When Kaden’s breathing started to change on Tuesday Matt and I took him back into his doctor that evening. He couldn’t hear anything in Kaden’s chest, but ordered an x-ray to be sure … we spent the evening at the hospital and the next morning we received word that he has pneumonia. This could be the original source of the infection and causing the fever, or it could be a secondary infection that ‘settled’ into pneumonia. We’re still awaiting the results from a few more tests to rule out some other options.
Either way, this kiddo is whooped and I am trying so hard to not overreact about his diagnosis. Yesterday his temperature topped out at 104.1 and something about that number had me in tears, mostly because I know a few days ago it was even higher.
“Lord, thank you for the gift of modern medicine and I pray that you would use it to heal our little Tado. Thank you that his pneumonia is only in one lung and that the x-rays detected it, and for all the friends and family praying for this sweet boy. Please bless them! Amen.”
