Prepare yourselves for a lot of photos …
First, I have to tell you – these two first started dating in middle-school. I know … I was there. They were my best friends all through high-school and I witnessed first hand their relationship begin. And now, something crazy like 16 years later, they are married and expecting their first baby! You can imagine how exciting it was for me to photograph them.
We wondered around a little bit of Seattle finding all sorts of nooks and crannies to shoot in. We dealt with wind, on-lookers (a man professed to Kelby that she was the MOST beautiful pregnant woman he’d ever seen!) and a LOT of laughter (from us, not on-lookers).
This was a wonderful day. With a wonderful couple.
Probably my favorite … there is nothing better than capturing genuine, whole-hearted laughter.
I could probably do a pretty fun post of ‘outtakes’ and anyone who knows Kelby knows that would be GOOD … but, I’ll save those for her baby boy.

Beautiful Lacey. There are SO many good ones but my favorite is the hazy one with the ocean and sign behind her. I just love the lighting, composition and she looks so happy.

Yep, two of my favorite people! How will they ever be able to choose which photo to print? They are ALL wonderful!! How cool to get a ferry and the Pike Place sign in the same photo with the colors blending so nicely! Knowing Kelby & Ryan…their baby will come out Laughing (not crying)
