In my 30 years of living in the Pacific Northwest, I have never embraced the dreary weather. But boy, do I love the all-of-the-sudden-breaks-in-the-rain. Sometimes they are so brief that we have to throw on our outside clothes quickly just so we can rush out for the evening walk that is a rare event from Fall till Spring.
So we deal with the wind and even a little drizzle, just to get out, while there is that break in the 3-season-long storm.

Windy walks work wonders for children (and mamas) who are tired of being stuck inside. ![]()
